Get behind Northland Rugby with the 2024 Junior Replica Home Jersey.

The 2024 Northland Rugby jersey is designed in collaboration with local artist Poutama Hetaraka, representing all areas of Te Tai Tokerau.

A puhoro begins on the arms, traditionally used on the legs of warriors to represent speed and agility. This particular puhoro is also similar to the kauri pod. The kauri is an iconic feature of the northland region where the great Tane Mahuta looks over us, protecting us all.

Power and aggression are represented by the NIho Taniwha and at the centre of the jersey design are two Mangopare (hammerhead shark) representing bravery and strength, with six Kaitiaki (Guardians) symbolising each of the sub unions that make up the union. Representing all areas of our region, our land, our sea, and sky.

The sub unions are once again represented on the inner collar, this time with their colours joined together to represent the combined power of the north.

Featuring Dynasty Sport’s cutting edge Ecotek fabric, which is made from ethically sourced recycled plastic bottles.
